The 2024 County Line Chardonnay is vibrant and expressive, driven by bright aromas of yuzu and lime zest, with a fragrant touch of lemongrass. These citrusy notes continue on the palate, adding a mouthwatering pop of acidity that follows the smooth entry. Ripe pear, orange blossom, and a hint of lemon sherbet impart a welcoming roundness, further balanced by an intriguing saline minerality that runs throughout. Focused and racy yet with a lingering softness, this Sonoma Coast Chardonnay would be a delicious complement to a crisp citrus and fennel salad, and is an instinctive match for freshly-shucked oysters.

WOOSTER

One of the first ranch sounds in the morning, the white rooster (affectionately named Wooster) heralds the day with his waking crow. An experienced defender, Wooster proudly safeguards our flock by sounding alarm when danger lurks nearby. He is a natural provider, helping to keep our chickens fed and fertile, ensuring happy hens and healthy chicks. The king of our poultry pest control, Wooster also leads the flock in tilling the soil while he struts and scratches about the garden. As the overseer of his egg-laying ladies, Wooster’s prominence on the label is a nod to the concrete eggs we often use for Chardonnay fermentation and élevage.
